Sweet Chilli Crispy Beef

Gluten free sweet chilli crispy beef meal on a Chinese plate

Quick and easy recipe to make sweet chilli crispy beef

This sweet chilli sauce is served in the family's Chinese restaurant 

Jars of Tsang Sauce can be purchased online and delivered straight to your door

Makes for 2 people

Ingredients:

160g beef (1cm wide strips and 7cm long)
80g onions
50g red pepper
50g green pepper
25g plain flour
50g water
1/4 teaspoon baking powder (this makes the beef more tender)
2 teaspoon soy sauce (I used gluten free)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoon vegetable oil
200g cornflour (I used gluten free) 

1/3 jar Tsang Sweet Chilli Sauce

Prepare the beef

  1. Put the beef in a bowl
  2. Add soya sauce, pepper, plain flour, water and baking soda
  3. Mix it altogether
  4. Cover each beef strip in cornflour and set aside on a plate
  5. Spray some oil on the base of the air fryer tray so the beef doesn't stick to it
  6. Place beef in the tray
  7. Spray oil over the beef
  8. Cook for 6 minutes at 200 degrees
  9. Flip the beef after 6 minutes and then cook for another 6 minutes
  10. Remove the beef and place on kitchen roll to soak up any oil

Cook the meal

  1. Add 2 tablespoon of oil into the wok and heat up for 1 minute
  2. Add in the peppers and onions into your wok and cook to your desired texture
  3. Add in the Tsang Sweet Chilli Sauce
  4. When this is bubbling, add in the beef
  5. Stir it all together for 5 seconds
  6. Serve with rice
